Yes. Enterprise offers a military discount. Government Leisure Travel receives a published discount of 5% off base rates. Checked September 15, 2026.
Enterprise Military Discount: Three Travel Routes
Official Government Travel: separate contracted rates apply; the checked official page does not publish a universal percentage.
External association-member offers: these are a separate route. The checked Enterprise FAQ links to association programs without publishing their individual rates or full eligibility.
Our interpretation: a discount stated on base rates does not establish the same percentage off a tax-and-fee-inclusive total. Keep those amounts separate.
Official terms and external claims
External claims supply no calculation inputs. Unconfirmed means the reviewed official material did not establish the item; it does not mean zero or nonexistent.
| What the checked official pages establish | What external pages claim |
|---|---|
| Travel routes: leisure means off-duty or personal travel; official travel means government business or temporary duty. Association membership is not required for the ordinary military program. Official offer page, travel-type and association-membership FAQs. Checked 2026-09-15. | External pages claim a military rental discount exists. |
| Rates: leisure receives a reduction of 5% on base rates. Official travel uses specific contracted rates, with no universal percentage published here. The separate military FAQ confirms discounts but does not state a rate. Official offer page, discount-rates FAQ; Military FAQ, main answer. Checked 2026-09-15. | External pages claim percentage discounts exist. |
| Channel price difference: Unconfirmed. Separate online, telephone and counter rates or like-for-like channel differences were not found. Worldwide acceptance is a location statement, not evidence that every channel has the same price. Official offer page, rate and location FAQs. Checked 2026-09-15. | External pages claim rental discounts can vary by location. |
| Leisure eligibility: the government FAQ lists current United States federal employees, active-duty members, retired employees and veterans. It does not separately establish eligibility for reservists, National Guard members, spouses or dependents. Not separately listed does not mean ineligible. Government rates FAQ, Government Leisure Travel. Checked 2026-09-15. | External pages claim serving members, veterans and military families qualify. |
| Military-specific stacking: Unconfirmed. The ordinary promotions FAQ says a single discount or coupon code is generally used at a time. That general rule does not establish an absolute military-specific prohibition or resolve combinations with loyalty benefits. Ordinary promotions FAQ, note below the promotions list. Checked 2026-09-15. | External pages claim offer-combination restrictions exist. |
| Verification: military or government identification may be requested at pickup. The government FAQ separately requires official orders or a government-issued credit card at the rental office for its official-travel rate. A complete advance upload or account-verification process was not found. Official offer page, required-documents FAQ; Government rates FAQ, official-travel procedures. Checked 2026-09-15. | External pages claim counter identification is used. |
What the published discount applies to
The official offer page uses the exact phrase 5% discount off base rates
in its discount-rates FAQ. Checked 2026-09-15. Read the complete official rate answer.
Our interpretation, not an official quotation: base rent and a total including taxes, fees and other charges are different calculation inputs. The quoted language supports a conditional calculation on identified base rent. It does not establish a discounted final payable total. We leave that total Unconfirmed rather than assuming how each additional charge behaves.
Eligibility and age are separate checks
Use the leisure eligibility list above for leisure travel. The government FAQ describes official-government renters traveling on government business separately; being a veteran alone does not establish that a personal trip qualifies for an official-travel contract rate. This last distinction is our reading of the separate travel-purpose requirements.
- Leisure minimum age — official quotation:
You must be 21 or older to book Government Leisure Travel.
Official offer page, minimum-age FAQ. Checked 2026-09-15. - Official-travel minimum age — official quotation:
Renter must be 18 years of age or older.
Government rates FAQ, Official Government Travel rules. Checked 2026-09-15. - Possible younger-driver charge — official quotation:
18-20 year-olds may incur a young driver surcharge.
Official offer page, minimum-age FAQ, official-travel bullet. Checked 2026-09-15. The amount is Unconfirmed in the checked policy text.
The checked pages did not establish a complete status-by-status eligibility list. Missing detail does not establish exclusion.
The association-member route
The official military FAQ, main answer, names and links to separate association programs for more information. The official offer page, association-membership FAQ, mentions member discounts and additional benefits for an association's members. Neither supplies a complete rate-and-eligibility schedule for those separate programs. Checked 2026-09-15.
Association rates: Unconfirmed. Complete association eligibility: Unconfirmed. Combination with the ordinary military offer: Unconfirmed. We do not import outside membership rates into the leisure calculation.
Leisure travel: search, compare, then confirm
This is our practical checklist based on the official offer page's reservation controls and policy answers, checked 2026-09-15. It is not a claim that we completed military identity verification or a rental.
- Open the official military and government offer page. Use the leisure route for personal or off-duty travel.
- Enter a pickup location and select the actual location from the suggested results. Typed text alone may not select a branch.
- Choose the return location, pickup and return dates and times, and the renter's actual age. Enable a different return location only when that is your intended trip.
- Use the vehicle-search control. Review the selected location and dates before comparing vehicle classes.
- Choose a vehicle class, review extras, and check the final rental summary. The recorded quote text shows separate Vehicle, Extras and Review & Reserve stages; our browser did not complete this quote sequence.
- Identify the quoted base rental amount separately from taxes, fees and the total. Do not apply the published percentage again to an amount already discounted.
- Our recommendation: if the quote does not identify the applicable leisure offer, ask Enterprise to confirm it before committing. A calculation in this guide is not proof that the booking received the discount.
- Be prepared for a military or government identification request at pickup, as the official offer page describes. A complete advance online identity-verification workflow was not established in the reviewed policy.
Official government travel: use the official-travel route
These steps combine the official page's route with the separate government FAQ requirements. They do not convert a personal trip into government business. Checked 2026-09-15.
- Confirm that the rental is for official government business or temporary duty under the applicable official-travel requirements.
- Open the official offer page and follow its designated official-government-travel link near the page heading.
- Use the contracted rate applicable to that trip. Do not substitute the leisure percentage for a missing contract amount.
- Prepare the documents listed in the government rates FAQ, official-travel rules: its license or military-identification requirement and official orders or a government-issued credit card for the rate.
- Present the required official-travel evidence at the rental office. The policy establishes that requirement; it does not establish a complete online upload procedure.
- Our recommendation: resolve any unclear contract, driver or payment condition with Enterprise before booking. A government-booking link is not a general-purpose leisure coupon.
The official-travel link was followed through official web-text retrieval, which returned an intermediate loading page. That shell is not evidence of a completed government booking or verified contract amount.
The original quote amounts, kept separate
These quotes were taken from the official reservation page. This audit did not independently reproduce these prices. The recorded quote conditions state that no military, association or other discount was used, with renter age 25+, the year 2026 and Orlando local time for both quotes. The trip is Orlando International Airport, 2026-09-15 at 12:00 PM to 2026-09-19 at 12:00 PM, four days. Quote-generation timestamp: Unconfirmed. The page's USD currency context is recorded. Availability and payable military totals are not verified.

| Sales tax (6.5%) | $20.30 (reviewed 2026-09-15) | $30.22 (reviewed 2026-09-15) |
The minivan excerpt lists a Florida surcharge-recovery line that is not listed in the pickup excerpt. We preserve that difference; an omitted line does not establish a zero charge. The quote footnote says later-added optional coverages or extras are outside the displayed rates, taxes and fees.

Dated conditional base-rental comparison
The quote record states that no discount was used. Let B be the identified time & distance subtotal. Conditional reduction = B × 5 ÷ 100; conditional base rent = B minus that reduction. Round the selected-period reduction to cents. This is our arithmetic convention, not a confirmed Enterprise rounding rule or military checkout price. Eligibility must apply. Do not round a daily reduction first and assume the same selected-period result. Taxes, fees, extras and the military payable total remain outside this calculation.

Frequently asked question
Does being a veteran automatically qualify me for Enterprise’s veterans discount on government travel?
Enterprise’s veterans discount has separate leisure and official-government routes; being a veteran alone does not establish that a personal trip qualifies for an official-travel contract rate.
