Target Military Discount: Subscription Pricing and Seasonal Shopping Offers
Target’s military-related savings fall into two separate offers: ongoing Target Circle 360 subscription pricing and seasonal discounts on qualifying purchases. The subscription offer reduces a membership charge. It does not turn every shopping trip into a discounted purchase.
As of September 12, 2026, the subscription pricing is published, while the confirmed Independence Day shopping offer has passed its stated deadline. A currently active seasonal shopping offer was not confirmed in this review.
The ongoing offer: Circle 360 subscription pricing
The pricing sentence names both:
- “verified audiences (teachers, military, college students, and government assistance recipients)”
- “Target Circle Card holders” with a debit or credit Circle Card stored in their Target account.
Those groups are joined by “and” in the wording. This page does not resolve that wording into an individual eligibility decision. Check the conditions and price presented for your own account.
The discounted price continues while eligibility is maintained. The renewal wording separately says that an eligibility change, or no longer having a Circle Card saved, returns the subscription to regular pricing. The offer applies to a single membership and cannot combine with other promotions.
What a year of the subscription costs
These are twelve-month calculations using prices checked September 12, 2026. They assume the quoted rates and eligibility remain unchanged throughout the comparison period; they are not observed charges or a guaranteed future bill.
| Billing option | Discounted rate | Calculated twelve-month cost | Regular rate | Calculated twelve-month regular cost | Calculated saving | Checked |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Monthly | $4.99/month | $4.99 × 12 = $59.88 | $10.99/month | $10.99 × 12 = $131.88 | $131.88 − $59.88 = $72.00 | September 12, 2026 |
| Annual | $49/year | $49 × 1 = $49.00 | $99/year | $99 × 1 = $99.00 | $99 − $49 = $50.00 | September 12, 2026 |
The seasonal offer: a qualifying shopping purchase
The Independence Day offer updated July 1, 2026, provided verified military members, veterans and their families who belong to Target Circle 20% off one qualifying storewide purchase through July 4, 2026. That deadline had passed by this review’s September 12, 2026 check.
Do not carry that shopping percentage into later months without a new confirmed campaign.
Both offers compared on September 12, 2026
| Offer | What receives the reduction | What was confirmed on the check date |
|---|---|---|
| Circle 360 subscription pricing | The membership subscription | Published ongoing pricing, conditional on eligibility and the stated account/card wording |
| Independence Day shopping offer | One qualifying storewide purchase | A 2026 offer with a July 4, 2026 deadline; not a confirmed active September offer |
From verification to the purchase you intend to make
- Sign in and join Target Circle. The military verification eligibility list includes active or veteran service members and one dependent.
- Open military verification. In the app: My Target → Settings → Your discounts → Military verification. In a browser: Account → Settings → Discounts → Military → Verify status.
- Prepare suitable proof. For serving members: LES pay statements; Army record briefs (ARB/ERB/ORB); reserve activation orders; enlistment contracts. For veterans and retirees: DD214; state identification with a VETERAN endorsement; honorable-discharge certificate; NGB 22; reserve separation orders; VHIC or VIC; eRAS; VA disability letter.
- Submit through SheerID. Match your name to your documents and provide branch, service affiliation and discharge date where applicable.
- For Circle 360, check the subscription order. Choose monthly or annual billing, then check the price and account conditions before authorizing payment. The final signed-in enrollment screens were not verified here.
- For a seasonal purchase, check the campaign first. During a live campaign, allow up to one hour after successful military verification for the Circle Bonus to appear. Open the available offer and follow its redemption instructions before placing the qualifying order; future campaign-specific checkout requirements are unconfirmed.
The Circle Bonus timing above concerns a live campaign. It is not a promise that a Circle 360 subscription price changes on the same schedule.
Read the savings column without choosing the wrong payment option
Calculated comparison using September 12, 2026 prices: twelve discounted monthly payments total $59.88, while the discounted annual option costs $49.00. The difference is $59.88 − $49.00 = $10.88 over the comparison year.
The larger saving in the monthly row does not make monthly billing the cheaper choice. Each saving is measured against a different regular-price baseline. To choose between billing options, compare the discounted totals with each other; to measure the membership offer, compare each discounted total with its matching regular total.
Practical interpretation: this table answers what the quoted subscription rates add up to. It does not decide how long you should subscribe or establish your account’s eligibility. If your price or eligibility changes, replace the affected input before using the annual total. Do not treat a dated calculation as a promise about a later renewal.
Keep the membership calculation out of the shopping basket
Comparison guidance: a membership renewal and a shopping receipt need separate savings calculations. Put the subscription charge in the membership calculation. Put only purchases qualifying for a live campaign in the shopping calculation. The existence of one offer does not supply the missing conditions for the other.
The dated comparison also separates two different kinds of information: a subscription price still being published and a shopping promotion whose stated period has finished. Placing them side by side does not make them simultaneously redeemable. Nor does it show that a membership discount can be added to a shopping percentage.
If you are preparing an order, identify which benefit you expect before looking for its effect. A membership price belongs in the subscription order. A seasonal shopping benefit needs an eligible campaign and qualifying purchase. An unchanged merchandise price does not, by itself, tell you whether the subscription offer is working.
Make the next action match the offer
Practical advice: finish the subscription decision with the billing option and offered renewal price. Finish a seasonal shopping decision with the campaign dates, purchase eligibility and final order amount.
Verification can outlast a shopping campaign; the shopping percentage does not become permanent with it. Keep your account’s status and the offer’s validity period as separate checks, so an earlier successful verification does not become the reason you expect a later purchase to receive an expired discount.
Frequently asked question
Does Target's military subscription pricing reduce every shopping purchase?
The Target veterans discount routes must be kept separate: Circle 360 pricing reduces the subscription charge, while seasonal shopping offers apply to qualifying purchases. The subscription does not make every shopping trip discounted.
