Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 17, 2026.

SaluteScout is made by an independent developer. This policy covers salutescout.com. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

Reading this website

You can read the guides without creating an account, submitting military identification or making a purchase on SaluteScout. The site does not provide an active account-registration or military-verification service.

Hosting and technical requests

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website. Opening a page sends technical request information, such as your IP address, requested address and browser headers, to the hosting service so it can deliver and protect the site. Security cookies may be used when Cloudflare security features require them. See Cloudflare's privacy policy and its cookie documentation.

Optional Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics only after you choose Allow analytics. Until then, the site's analytics loader does not load the Google Analytics tag. Declining analytics does not prevent you from reading the guides.

If you allow it, Google Analytics measures page visits and interactions using information such as page addresses, browser and device details, and analytics cookies. Our tag configuration disables Google signals and advertising-personalization signals. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Your analytics choice is saved in this browser's local storage under salutescout-analytics-choice-v1. This stores your choice, not a military identity. You can change it below. Declining disables further analytics collection by our tag and removes the accessible Google Analytics cookies set for this site. Clearing browser storage also clears the saved choice. A choice on one browser does not automatically apply to another.

Third-party advertising

SaluteScout plans to display third-party advertisements. No advertising-network code is installed as of the update date above. When an approved provider is added, this policy will identify that provider and describe the cookies, data use and choices relevant to its advertising. Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads; the exact behavior depends on the provider and consent settings. The analytics choice on this page does not grant consent to future advertising.

Email you send us

If you email us, your message includes the email address, message content and other information you choose to send. We use that information to respond to your request or review the issue you report. Please do not send identity documents, passwords or payment details. You may contact us to request access to, correction of or deletion of correspondence you sent; we will review the request and any applicable retention requirements.

Links to other websites

Guides link to merchants, verification services and source material. When you leave SaluteScout, the destination's privacy practices apply. SaluteScout does not receive the military documents you submit directly to a merchant or its verification service.

Policy changes

We will update this page when the site's data practices change, including when advertising is introduced. Check the update date above and use the contact page if you have questions.
