Chewy’s explicit answer differs from an unconfirmed offer
Chewy’s US help answer says military discounts are not currently offered. Petco’s row remains unconfirmed because the material reviewed did not establish a national military clause. Those are different evidence states. Neither is rewritten as a made-up zero-percent rate.
Chewy’s ordinary Autoship discounts, coupons, future eGift cards and cashback do not fill its military-rate column. The Chewy guide separates their bases and restrictions. No future military program or exception is promised.
Grooming, boarding and merchandise are different purchases
PetSmart’s military grooming clause includes salon add-ons on Tuesdays with Treats Rewards. Its hotel clause offers the same percentage on eligible overnight stays but excludes add-ons, Doggie Day Camp and PetsHotel bundles. Both clauses exclude merchandise. The hotel clause does not independently state the salon’s Tuesday or Treats requirement.
The military merchandise question is therefore not answered by pointing to either PetSmart service rate. Petco’s reviewed general deals and directory pages do not establish a military service rate or military shopping-code program. A general promotion is a separate purchasing option with its own terms.
Keep the service-specific eligibility wording
PetSmart’s grooming clause lists Reserves, National Guard, active members of named service branches, retired members and spouses, and accepts expired military ID or a DD214 as proof. The hotel clause directs a customer to show government-issued identification verifying military service to a Services associate for a coupon. Its wording does not repeat the complete salon group or proof list.
Neither clause supplies Petco’s eligibility rules. For Petco, a nationwide current military/veteran category list and accepted proof were not verified. Unlisted categories remain unconfirmed, not automatically approved or refused. Read each PetSmart service boundary or Petco evidence boundary before relying on a benefit.
Compare the eligible charge, then the final bill
For PetSmart grooming, saving = 0.10 × G, where G is the confirmed eligible Tuesday grooming and salon-add-on subtotal. For its hotel offer, saving = 0.10 × H, where H is the eligible overnight amount after excluding the listed extras. Taxes, fees and combination rules still need confirmation where the military clauses do not define them.
For Petco, the analogous r × P calculation lacks a verified nationwide military rate and base. It stays unknown. Do not insert zero, borrow a rate from a different retailer or add ordinary cashback to produce a military saving. The same percentage does not mean the same saving; no cheapest-retailer ranking is supported here.
Review dates and offer dates stay separate
