Arithmetic and dates
Sam’s $40/$70 first-year fee comparisons subtract $20/$50 from the current published standard $60/$120 fees. Costco’s $45/$90 nominal comparisons subtract a conditional $20/$40 card from $65/$130 dues; these are not reduced checkout charges. Applicable tax, future fees and shopping savings are not estimated.
Sam’s military offer deadline is January 31, 2027 or while quantities last. Costco’s current general promotion showed no fixed expiry in the source reviewed. September 22, 2026 is the source-check and publication date.
Costco military-route reading boundary
The official Costco Join page links Military to SheerID verification. That destination did not yield readable military-specific terms. Its existence is not treated as proof that the general card amounts are exclusive military benefits. The existing Costco guide retains its own earlier review record.
