Planet Fitness Military Discount: Club Offers, Black Card and Fees
A current nationwide Planet Fitness military or veteran discount, including a PF Black Card military rate or universal promo code, was not verified. Ask the specific club for its written offer and separate monthly dues, startup fees and annual fees. The official November 8–15 free-workout announcement reviewed is from 2019; it does not establish a current free membership or a 2026 event.

Does Planet Fitness give veterans a membership discount?
The official national membership material reviewed lists regular plans and directs shoppers to their club for details. It does not establish a current national military or veteran rate. That is a bounded finding, not a claim that every club refuses every local offer.
No current uniform eligibility list was verified for veterans, active-duty members, retirees, disabled veterans, National Guard, Reserves, spouses or dependents. Do not turn a third-party eligibility table into a brand rule. Ask the club which groups qualify and what proof it accepts for the particular offer being quoted.
The national material also states that locations are independently owned and operated and prices vary. That explains why a selected club’s actual terms matter; it does not itself prove that any club offers a military reduction. Official membership information.
PF Black Card benefits are not a military discount
The national page distinguishes PF Black Card access to Planet Fitness clubs worldwide from Classic access to the home club. Guest access and other Black Card amenities are plan benefits, subject to availability and restrictions. They are not a military rate or proof that all fees disappear.
The official starting prices read were $15 per month for Classic and $24.99 per month for PF Black Card, with a $49 annual fee and applicable taxes. These are ordinary starting prices, not military quotes. A selected club can show different pricing, startup fees or commitment conditions.
The official guest policy also says Black Card guests may not have access to Black Card perks. A guest benefit is not a separate free membership for a spouse or another military household member. Compare the plans; official guest and membership policies.
A local fee example: separate every charge
The table below records the ordinary offers displayed on the official Norfolk (Military Hwy), Virginia club page read September 22, 2026, without a referral-code URL. None was labeled a military offer. Military Hwy is the street/club name, not an eligibility rule.
| Norfolk plan — ordinary offer | Monthly dues | One-time startup fee | Annual fee | Commitment and scope | Review, displayed expiry and source |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PF Black Card | $24.99 | $1 | $49 | 12-month commitment; access and perks subject to restrictions | Reviewed September 22, 2026. Displayed offer expiry: September 30th, year unstated. Official local page |
| Classic | $15 | $59 | $49 | 12-month commitment; home-club access | Reviewed September 22, 2026. Displayed offer expiry: September 30th, year unstated. Official local page |
| Classic No Commitment | $20 | $59 | $49 | No commitment; home-club access | Reviewed September 22, 2026. Displayed offer expiry: September 30th, year unstated. Official local page |
Taxes and other applicable charges are additional. The local terms said the annual fee would be billed on or shortly after November 1st, without printing a year. That billing date is not the September 30th offer deadline. Confirm the current quote, any first partial month and the agreement before joining; these sampled prices are not a guaranteed quote for another club.
Planet Fitness military discount promo code: a claim is not a confirmed offer
A third-party article labels one code as military and lists separate corporate codes. It describes possible fee waivers and a free month while also warning that acceptance varies by club. No corresponding current official military offer for a named club was verified in this review, so those codes are not presented here as validated or universal.
A promo-code field establishes only that the site accepts some promotions. A referral offer, corporate benefit or general enrollment campaign does not become a military benefit because a service member uses it. Check the plan name, qualifying group, monthly amount, startup charge, annual fee, commitment and valid dates together.
A successful price preview would still not prove that you meet an offer’s eligibility rules. No code was submitted, membership opened or proof of service provided during this review. Read the third-party claim in its original context; official club offer entry.
Veterans Day: keep the event year attached
Planet Fitness’s November 4, 2019 release offered veterans and active military free workouts from November 8 through November 15, 2019. It also described a workout buddy at no extra charge and specific massage amenities. The proof requirement belonged to that event.
That source does not announce the same dates for 2026, guarantee annual repetition or remove present-day membership charges. Third-party pages repeating the date range without its original year cannot extend the offer. No current-year event was verified here. Read the historical official announcement.
The official 2024 ESG report, page 15 also records Veterans Day free access at more than 200 clubs representing several franchise groups. The paragraph does not give exact dates or a complete club list, and it does not establish a current nationwide program. Its participation scope is kept separate from the 2019 release.
Compare the total cost over the same period
Let M be confirmed monthly dues, n the number of full monthly payments in your comparison, S the startup fee, F the annual fee, k the number of annual-fee charges due, T applicable taxes and O other confirmed charges, including any prorated amount. Then total = n × M + S + k × F + T + O.
A waived startup fee changes S; it does not also erase M or F. A waived annual fee changes the applicable annual charge; it is not a monthly saving. If a club confirms a percentage, apply it only to the fee base explicitly included in that offer.
For an actual comparison, saving = regular total − eligible-offer total using the same club, plan, access, term and billing period. No military percentage or dollar saving is assumed here. Unknown fields remain unknown, and different membership access cannot be ranked by headline price alone.
Do not assume a discounted membership can be moved immediately
The official online-transfer FAQ requires at least 90 days of membership and no transfer within the previous 90 days, alongside its other account conditions. It directs members who are ineligible for online transfer to their home club. That does not support a promise to join elsewhere and immediately move a special rate.
The FAQ also describes cancellation notice requirements and a $58 buyout fee for ending a minimum-term membership early. Military-specific exceptions, rate retention after transfer and deployment-related fee waivers were not verified in the material reviewed. Confirm the actual agreement and any applicable exception with the club; this page does not promise a legal or contractual waiver. Read the official transfer and cancellation instructions.
What to confirm with the club before joining
- Identify the exact home club and whether the offer is for Classic or PF Black Card.
- Ask whether a current military or veteran offer exists there and obtain its written conditions.
- Confirm your qualifying category and accepted proof without borrowing another promotion’s rules.
- Record monthly dues, startup fee, annual fee, taxes, any partial-month charge and commitment separately.
- Check whether the benefit applies only at enrollment, continues on renewal or survives a club transfer.
- Record the offer’s start/end dates separately from billing and cancellation notice dates.
The official FAQ identifies the home club as the source for membership and billing questions. Find a club; Customer service and FAQs. No club was contacted for this review.
What the review can and cannot establish
Sources were reviewed September 22, 2026. The original ten-result sample had seven readable relevant bodies and three unknowns: Military.com, a Facebook answer page and a social discovery page. No search excerpt replaced an unread body.
The reviewed third-party articles disagree on military availability, prices and current-year events. Their article dates are not policy effective or expiry dates. The current nationwide military rate, universal code and complete eligibility/proof rules remain unconfirmed. Ordinary referral rewards, partner offers, selected-drink discounts and outside fitness-benefit programs are not inserted into the military-rate column.
