REI information additions and sentence audit

Reviewed September 14, 2026, against the previously captured current Google sample for rei military discount (English interface, US parameter, personalization disabled). The original first ten URLs were frozen before replacements. Original and replacement findings are kept separate.

These entries prioritize added information rather than merely novel phrasing. The official no-individual-discount quote is deliberately not claimed as exclusive: it already appeared in the original leading official result.

Entry 1

REI's group-sales introduction identifies “businesses, organizations and government agencies” as the audience for “volume discounts on most items.”

Specific organizational audience from the group-sales introduction. The program name and the military/government-funds route were already in the ranked official FAQ; those existing facts are not claimed as new.

This sentence and its distinctive information were not found in the inspected original-result bodies or the separately inspected replacement bodies. This is a finding about the inspected content, not a claim of global novelty.

Entry 2

Using the HOKA reference amount solely for the conditional full-price member scenario, the listed sale is USD 14.77 (checked/calculated 2026-09-14) below the scenario's remainder.

A worked comparison between the observed HOKA sale price and the conditional remainder after a possible ordinary member reward. The underlying reference and sale prices were already present on a ranked page; the scenario calculation is the addition.

Entry 3

Converting that difference gives USD 5.27 (checked/calculated 2026-09-14) × 100 cents per USD = 527 cents (calculated 2026-09-14).

A dollar-to-cent conversion of the specific Smartwool price difference. The price pair itself is not claimed to be exclusive.

Original-result coverage

The seven original results available through the selected browser were checked using their captured bodies. During this publication pass, original results three and eight were additionally opened through page-text retrieval; neither contained these sentences, the specific group-sales audience wording, or the calculation results used here. Original result two exposed its post and a set of replies through page-text retrieval, but collapsed/deleted replies were not all available: no absence claim covers those unavailable replies. That cross-merchant discussion is not included in retail gap statistics.

The earlier seven-page gap finding is not silently expanded by this supplemental sentence check. In particular, newly retrieved content from an earlier inaccessible result is not used to rewrite the prior gap table.

External-claim evidence: not the originality benchmark

The clarification table's positive claim-presence entries are supported by separate retrieved external pages. Their statements are not official REI terms and do not supply any rate or code to the article's calculations. These additional sources do not enter the original-result gap statistics or the sentence benchmark.

Review date is September 14, 2026; the publishers' underlying claims may be older. No conclusion is made about unavailable text, hidden or deleted replies, material outside the sample, or global exclusivity.
