Columbus Zoo Military Discount

The Columbus Zoo's official Discounts page lists a $4 discount on up to six tickets for active and non-active duty military; show a valid military ID at the front gate. Military discounts are not available online. A separate 2026 Military Family Days event offered one free Day Pass plus up to five additional passes at 50% off, June 29-July 3; that event has ended. Its half-price event offer is not the routine $4 gate discount.

The everyday military discount is a flat gate discount

The Zoo's official Discounts page lists a flat $4 military discount, not a percentage. It says valid military ID must be shown at the front gate and that military discounts are not available online. The page groups its discounts under an introduction saying offers are available throughout the year, but it does not give a military-specific start or end date. The Fall 2026 Zoo blog repeats the gate-purchase terms; its publication date is not a policy end date.

Military Family Days was a separate 2026 event

The 50% offer belonged to Military Family Days, a time-limited event—not the ordinary $4 gate discount. The official 2026 announcement says a military member received one free Day Pass and could buy up to five additional passes at 50% off between June 29 and July 3, 2026. That event ended before this guide was checked on September 25, 2026.

A third-party Columbus event article says advance reservations were required, while the Zoo's announcement says tickets were purchased at the main gate on the visit day. The official route is kept separate from the third-party account; the third-party version does not replace the Zoo's wording.

Coupon claims and the water park are not used as Zoo terms

A third-party coupon page makes inconsistent claims about a flat-dollar offer and a percentage range; the Zoo's official Discounts page instead states the $4 gate discount. A separate search result is for Zoombezi Bay, the water park, not Columbus Zoo admission. Neither result supplies a Columbus Zoo rate, and neither is used to change this guide's offer table.
