SaluteScoutUniversal Studios Military Discount: Universal Orlando, Hollywood and Current Terms
Universal Orlando lists fixed-price military tickets, not one park-wide percentage: its 2026 release gives $220 for the 2-Park Freedom Pass and says the 3-Park option costs $35 more. Hotel offers are separate: 40% off Cabana Bay’s flexible rate and up to 30% off other Universal Orlando hotel flexible rates. Epic Universe requires a separate activated-pass add-on. Universal Studios Hollywood’s current military amount is not confirmed in the official terms I could read.

Does Universal Studios have one military discount rate?
No single percent describes the programs reviewed. Universal Orlando lists a fixed-price Military Freedom Pass, a separate Epic Universe add-on, hotel rates based on flexible room prices, and vacation packages with their own lengths and inclusions.
The 40% Cabana Bay and up-to-30% hotel rates apply to flexible room rates. They do not describe ticket savings or the total price of a hotel-plus-ticket package. The official ticket release gives dollar prices, not a public gate-price comparison from which to calculate a percent.
Universal Studios Hollywood is a separate resort. I could not confirm a current Hollywood military rate from readable official terms. The unreadable ID.me result and the office-location list are not used to claim that Hollywood offers or denies a benefit.
What the 2026 Military Freedom Pass includes
The 2-Park ticket covers Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure; the 3-Park option adds Volcano Bay. Universal’s terms describe admission to the included parks on the same day and a validity window through December 18, 2026. The accessible terms do not state a simple total visit-count field.
The official Universal page lists active duty, reservists, National Guard, retired service members and/or spouses, 100% Disabled Veterans and Department of Defense civilian personnel. The ticket terms require valid qualifying military or DEERS photo identification at purchase, exchange and redemption. An eligible member can purchase up to six promotional tickets, with one reserved for the member or spouse, subject to exceptions.
The ticket is non-refundable and non-transferable and must be used by the same person. It excludes separately ticketed events, parking, food and merchandise. Blackouts include December 25, 2025 through January 4, 2026 and March 30 through April 6, 2026. The 3-Park product has an additional Volcano Bay blockout. See the table for the exact partner-page date conflict.
Epic Universe is a separate dated add-on
The 2026 Military Freedom Pass does not include Epic Universe. A pass holder can buy a separate 1-day, 1-park Epic Universe ticket after redeeming and activating the pass. The daily price varies, the buyer selects a visit date, inventory is limited, and one pass can be used for one add-on per date. The public terms do not print a dollar price or percentage.
The add-on can be purchased through UniversalOrlando.com, front-gate Guest Services, Destination Universal locations or the Guest Contact Center after activation. It is not tax-exempt. Do not fold this add-on into the 2-Park or 3-Park pass price.
Hotel percentages use a room-rate base
Universal Orlando lists 40% off the flexible rate at Cabana Bay Beach Resort and up to 30% off the flexible rate at other Universal hotels. The calculation base is the eligible hotel flexible rate, not park admission or the whole vacation total. The official page says rates depend on availability and excludes Department of Defense personnel from the hotel discount.
Let P be the eligible flexible room rate. A conditional hotel saving is r × P, where r is 0.40 for Cabana Bay or up to 0.30 for other hotels. The actual dollar saving is unknown until the hotel, dates, available rate and eligibility are confirmed. The two percentages do not establish which hotel stay costs less.
Hotel eligibility and booking channels differ from ticket eligibility. The hotel page lists active and retired military, National Guard, Reservists, 100% Disabled Veterans and specified military spouses; booking is through an Authorized Military Ticket & Travel office.
Keep vacation packages with their own itinerary
Universal’s November 2025 release describes a 4-night Create Your Own package with a 3-Park 2026 pass and a separate 5-night Harry Potter package with a 2-Park 2026 pass. It directs eligible service members to a Military Ticket & Travel office or 1-877-801-9720 and does not publish the package price or expiry.
A separate Universal Orlando Vacations page shows a package from $105 per person per night, based on a family of four, with 3 hotel nights and a 3-Park 4-Day ticket. It says availability is limited but the visible page does not show the offer end date or full ID eligibility. Its 3-night package description is not merged with the press release’s 4-night package.
Universal Studios Hollywood remains a separate unknown
The Hollywood result on ID.me returned HTTP 403 twice when opened in the Chrome audit, so the result body was unreadable. Universal’s Hollywood-hosted military-base PDF lists ticket offices and says to use an Authorized Military Ticket & Travel office, but its body does not supply a current Hollywood ticket rate, eligibility boundary or offer window.
This leaves the current Hollywood military amount unknown. It is not a claim that Hollywood denies a military offer. General public Hollywood ticket promotions are kept out of the military-offer table.
Keep the ticket, hotel and package bases separate
A Freedom Pass has a fixed ticket price and blackout dates; hotel percentages apply to flexible room rates; an Epic add-on is a separate dated admission; package prices include a specific number of nights and ticket days. None of those figures can be ranked by percentage without matching the eligible purchase base and dates.
The historical 2024 MWR Dahlgren price sheet is listed on the source page as history only. It is not used as a 2026 price or as a current savings calculation. GOVX’s hotel offer uses a hotel-plus-ticket package and stays of five or more nights; it is kept separate from Universal’s flexible-rate hotel offer.
What to confirm before purchasing
Ask the Authorized Military Ticket & Travel office which pass is available for your dates, the exact price for each traveler, the required DEERS or military identification, the current blackout dates, gate/activation steps, Epic Universe inventory and the actual hotel flexible rate. Keep hotel bookings, park tickets and package itineraries in separate calculations.
The public sources contain a mismatch between one Shades of Green 3-Park date paragraph and Universal Orlando’s 2026 terms. Confirm that item directly with the ticket office before buying. See the source register and top-ten body audit.
