The official Shopping and Dining page separately states 10% off at the Shedd Store for active-duty, retired and veteran U.S. military personnel, with a valid military ID. Shedd members also qualify with a digital membership card. That 10% applies to store merchandise, not admission.
Illinois resident benefits are separate from military admission
Shedd lists Illinois Resident Free Hours and Chicago resident pricing in separate local-resident sections. Neither is a military benefit. Third-party rate claims are not Shedd's official admission terms
WorthEPenny's readable aggregator page claims an “up to 10%-25%” military discount for service members, veterans and immediate family, but gives no itemized ticket product, terms or offer dates. FOX 32's December 2024 article reported free basic admission for active-duty personnel, veterans and family with valid ID for in-person purchase. Those third-party claims are kept separate from Shedd's current official page, which says year-round free general admission is for active-duty personnel and excludes dependents and family.
