Does Greyhound offer a military discount?
Greyhound lists 10% off select fares through the WeSalute+ Card. WeSalute currently advertises an auto-renewing $9.99 monthly plan. If you join only for the bus benefit, compare the eligible fare reduction with that membership charge before paying; the headline percentage alone does not establish a net saving.

Check the traveler and benefit card
Greyhound's published audience includes active and retired military, veterans, and current or former National Guard and Reserve members. Immediate family benefits require a WeSalute+ Card. The provider's Greyhound instructions say added family members receive their own secure card, member account and unique Travel Code; one member's code is not published as a family-wide voucher.

Calculate the fee allocation once
Let F be the fare amount actually confirmed eligible for the 10% offer, rather than automatically using the entire ticket total. For one new paid month, allocate the published $9.99 membership charge to this bus use. The comparison is 0.10 times F minus $9.99, before unpriced additional charges. With deliberately chosen eligible-fare amounts of $50, $100 and $200, the reductions are $5, $10 and $20; after that allocated fee, the balances are minus $4.99, plus $0.01 and plus $10.01. Dividing $9.99 by 0.10 gives $99.90 of eligible fare for break-even under these assumptions. These are hypothetical inputs, not available ticket prices. If several qualifying rides fall within that same paid month, add their eligible fare amounts before applying the calculation, and deduct the month's fee once. If your membership is already paid and remains valid for the trip, first determine whether joining creates any additional membership cost at all. Repeatedly subtracting the same paid fee from every ride would answer a different question. Actual fare eligibility, taxes, ancillary charges and membership checkout totals still need confirmation.
Follow the published booking steps
For the online or app route, Greyhound says to choose WeSalute as the passenger type. The provider's instructions then name Show more discounts and require the traveler's first and last name plus the unique WeSalute+ Travel Code in Passenger Details. Be prepared to show the WeSalute+ Card to the driver at boarding.
The provider's Greyhound offer terms exclude combinations with other Greyhound promotions and connecting bus services outside Greyhound. They allow the discount only when booking, without retroactive application. The carrier itself says select fares and no combination with another discount; neither source approves every itinerary or a later refund of a missed discount.
